Daylight Robbery in Hamirpur Village: Gold, Silver Jewelry, and Cash Stolen

Hamirpur, August 8: A case of theft involving the daytime robbery of gold, silver jewelry, and cash has come to light in the village of Chuwan in the Morasu Gram Panchayat. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Cunning Daylight Thief According to the information provided, Rita Devi explained that she had gone to a private clinic to get medicine, leaving her home locked. Upon her return with the medicine, she found all her belongings scattered in the room. During her absence, gold and silver jewelry along with cash amounting to 8 to 10 thousand rupees had disappeared. The woman immediately informed the police about the incident.

The woman stated that her husband is employed in the LIC (Life Insurance Corporation) in Delhi. Both of their daughters work as nurses in Delhi. Meanwhile, the woman lives alone at home. The thieves attempted to break the locks of the rooms with an iron rod, but they were unsuccessful. Subsequently, the thieves broke the grill of a previous window, entered, and made off with gold, silver jewelry, and a sum of 8-10 thousand rupees.

The woman mentioned that she had crafted these jewelry pieces for the weddings of her two daughters. On the other hand, the entire theft incident was captured on CCTV cameras.

Rajesh Kumar, in charge of the Bhoti Police Station, confirmed that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
