HPU Shimla: Female Professor Receives Obscene Message from Former Student, FIR Filed

Shimla, August 02: In Shimla, Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), a female professor received an obscene message from a former student of the university. The lady professor lodged a complaint at the Balu Ganj Police Station. The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused. According to the police, the complainant is an assistant professor at the university.

In her complaint, she stated that during the academic year 2015-16, a former student who completed his studies at the university sent her inappropriate messages on WhatsApp.

The police swiftly took action upon the complaint and have filed a case against the accused under sections 354-D and 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police have stated that appropriate action is being taken in this matter.
