HPU will change PG entrance exams schedule

Changes will be made in the Joint Entrance Examinations of PG Courses to be held for the academic session 2023 of Himachal Pradesh University. Thousands of students from across the state will appear in the joint entrance examinations of Himachal Pradesh University and Sardar Patel University Mandi. HPU is considering the information received about the clash with the entrance examinations of Panjab University and the request made by the students to make the change. Soon after studying the dates of entrance exams of Punjab University and HPU, the university will change the schedule.

In this, it is proposed to delay the entrance examinations of HPU by one week. According to the schedule of entrance examinations released by Himachal Pradesh University on April 14, the entrance examinations were to be started from May 29, which was to run till June 15. Now it has to be changed and by starting the entrance examinations in the second week of June, the university will release the schedule of new exam dates soon after taking the decision to complete them by the end of June. Its due notification will be issued and it will be made available on the website.

Examination centers to be set up in four cities of the state
Like earlier, Himachal Pradesh University will conduct PG entrance examinations this time also in four examination centers of the state. In this, examination centers are to be set up in Shimla, Dharamshala, Mandi and Hamirpur. In this regard, options will be available in the application forms. May 12th is the last date for online application for admission in PG, due to change in exam dates, the university can also extend the last date of application.

HPU Dean Studies Prof. BK Shivram admitted that complaints have been received from the students regarding the clash of dates of some courses with the PG entrance examinations of Panjab University. In view of this, the exam schedule has to be changed. He said that the examinations would start after a week’s delay. Revised schedule will be released soon
