Delegates of G-20 meet to do yoga exercises
3 min readDharamshala, Apr 8 – In the G-20 conference to be held in Dharamshala on April 19-20, apart from discussing technology and science, the delegates will also do yoga exercises.
On April 20, courtesy of the Department of AYUSH, a yoga session will be organized for the guests at the venue at 6.30 am. In this session of about a quarter of an hour, the trainers of the AYUSH department will make the delegates practice yoga.
District Magistrate Dr. Nipun Jindal told today that he gave necessary instructions to all the departments to organize the summit in a systematic and grand manner.
Dr. Nipun Jindal said that on reaching Kangra airport, the guests would be welcomed in a traditional manner. He will be served Himachali Pakwan and beverages like Apple Tea, Kangra Tea at the airport. Apart from this, they will be welcomed according to Himachali tradition. He said that they will be gifted Himachali cap-shawl and Kangra paintings.
Dr. Nipun Jindal said that it is a matter of pride that Dharamshala has been chosen for the G-20 meeting. This opportunity will give us an opportunity to introduce our guests to the cultural uniqueness, diversity and beauty of Kangra and Himachal.
In the meeting to be held at Dharamsala on April 19-20 under the G-20, the latest research and innovations will be discussed under the theme ‘Research and Innovation Initiative Gathering’. He said that 70 delegates from many countries of the world will participate among them will be top scientists, policy makers and experts will be included.
The Collector said that about 70 delegates from all over the world would reach Dharamshala on April 18 for the conference. Technical sessions will be held during the day on 19th, while a ‘Gala Dinner’ will be organized at HPCA for the guests in the night. During this, various cultural dance and music programs will also be organized to show the glimpse of the rich culture of the state. After participating in the morning yoga session on 20th April, the delegates will be on a tour of Dharamshala and nearby places. He will return from Kangra airport on 21 April.

The District Collector said that on April 20, the delegates would visit the tea gardens and Kangra Art Museum in Dharamshala. They will also get to experience picking tea leaves in the garden. At the same time, apart from getting acquainted with Himachali art-culture and crafts in the art museum, they will also experience live Kangra painting.
Deputy Commissioner informed that during the G20 conference, an exhibition based on science and technology, handloom-handicraft will be organized by the state at the conference venue. In this, an exhibition related to science-technology innovation will be organized by IHBT Palampur and Agriculture University, while exhibition and sale counters of products related to handloom-handicraft will also be set up. Delegates will also be able to purchase those products if they wish. There will be a system of UPI based payment for this.
The Deputy Commissioner asked all the departments to work in this direction. Apart from the beautification of Kangra Airport, branding and decoration of buildings will be done on both sides of the National Highway and state roads.
