HP police recover stolen car in just one-and-a-half hrs

Nahan/Shimla, Mar 23 – A team of District Sirmaur Kachha Tank Police has set a record by recovering the stolen car from Nahan from another state in just one-and-a-half hours.
According to the information received, Sabir Mohammad, a resident of Ram Kundi, lodged a report of his pickup theft at the Kachha Tank police post at 8:00 am on Thursday.
This vehicle of Sabir Mohammad was used to carry garbage near Nahan Municipal Council. Sabir said in the morning he got a call from his driver that the vehicle was not at the spot where the vehicle was parked. On hearing this, Mohammad Sabir lost his senses and he immediately reached near the gas godown.
After not finding the vehicle on the spot, Sabir Mohammad along with the driver lodged a report of theft of the vehicle at Gunnu Ghat Chowki at 8:00 am. Taking this matter seriously, Chowki Incharge Manoj Thakur ordered his most capable and sharp head constable Dharmdas to lead the team.
Home guard Devendra Singh, who joined the team along with Dharmdas, went out in search of the vehicle as per the strategy made by sitting on his motorcycle. At the same time, in Dosadka, CCTV was reconstructed by placing a capable police head constable on the cyber controlling system.
According to the information received from the police, the vehicle was seen being taken by unknown thieves from Dosadka around 11:30 am. Thieves were seen taking the vehicle from Haryana Kalaamb side. Adopting cyber techniques on the basis of all the CCTV footage in Dosadka, Dharmdas reached the stolen vehicle.
Seeing the police in plain clothes approaching the car, the vicious thieves had already fled. The police also claim that they will soon nab the thieves as well. The vehicle owner also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Sirmour police for recovering the stolen vehicle.
At the same time, the district Sirmaur police chief has also patted the back of the team on this great achievement. However, a case of theft has been registered and search has been started to trace the unknown thieves.
