Shimla, Mar 15 – Himachal Pradesh State capital town witnessed a shocking incident when a rashly driven car on a steep downward journey from a US club fatally hit a High Court official in broad daylight on Tuesday.
Former Deputy Advocate General and learned advocate of Himachal Pradesh High court Vinay Sharma has written a post on the incident warning the errant responsible official to drag her up to the court to seek justice for victim Hari Ram Khangta who was hit by the car.
Narrating painful details of incidents that are not given prominent coverage by the media (according to Sharma) he questioned the role of Administration which allowed a vehicle to run without proper brake by the errant official who is posted as Deputy Director in the Panchayat Raj Department.
Sharma said it is astonishing that how could a car which is owned by someone else and has been challenged eight times and is not insured be running on the sealed narrow roads?
It is not a solitary incident in the town but a number of people were rammed and faced such painful incidents previously but the Police and civil administration always turned blind eye to the incidents. The government has listed several black spots to avoid road accidents but this incident has also exposed the state of Administration for ignorance towards the vulnerability of roads and human error and leading no end to similar incidents.
