Avalanche blocks Manali-Udaipur Killard State Highway

Kullu, Feb 10 – An avalanche blocked vehicular traffic on State Highway-26 between Manali and Udaipur Killard in Himachal Pradesh on Friday. There was, however, no loss of life or property, police said.
The traffic on the route has been blocked. The avalanche snapped Pangi Valley from the Lahaul Spiti district.
The local police have informed the Border Roads Organisation to carry out the repair work.
Police Superintendent Lahaul Spiti Manav Verma said BRO has sent its machinery to the spot to clear the avalanche debris from the road.
This is the eighth avalanche between Tindi and Killar within a week.
