Lok Adalats postponed due to HP polls

Bilaspur, Nov 3 – The National Lok Adalats on November 12 will not be convened in Himachal Pradesh due to the Assembly elections scheduled on the same day and have been postponed to November 27.
Vikrant Kaundal, Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, District Legal Services Authority, Bilaspur said Thursday that in the Lok Adalats matters related to matrimonial matters, except divorce, matters related to banks, land disputes, bills related to water and electricity, labour disputes, accident compensation related, etc. would be taken up by month end
He urged the people that if any one of these matters of theirs were pending in the court, and then he/she could get their cases taken up in this Lok Adalat by giving an application in the court concerned.
The Learned Judge said in this Lok Adalat, matters related to challan from traffic would also be settled. He said that by taking advantage of Lok Adalat, people can ensure that their cases get justice through mutual partnership and consent at the earliest.
