Hamirpur, Nov 2 – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said the Congress has no love, attachment, or affection for the soldiers who have served the nation sacrificing their lives to keep India intact and united.
Addressing an election rally at Bumbloo village of Hamirpur district in Himachal Pradesh, the BJP leader said that it is the Narendra Modi government that has provided the forces with the “One Rank, One Pension” opportunity.
“Had the Congress been in power, this scheme would have never been implemented,” he added.
Seeking votes for party candidate Maya Sharma, Adityanath said that Himachal Pradesh was the jewel of the Indian crown with huge mountains and an abundance of water and power.
He hailed the state for its brave soldiers such as the Veer Bhoomi and given its abundance of temples hence Dev Bhoomi and as such there was a need to have a government that respected both traditions.
He said, “The BJP is the only party that can maintain such traditions”.
Lashing out at the Congress, the UP CM said that the development of only one family was on the agenda of the Congress party — and that is the Nehru-Gandhi family.
“They have created new layers of corruption in the name of development, for which the country paid the price, the youth paid the price, and development was blocked, he added.
He appealed to people to choose BJP once more “for their own welfare, development and a corruption-free government” beside a clean environment.
