JUIT Organises PARAKRAM, An Annual Sports Fest

Solan, Oct 8: It is quite evident then whenever there is a sports competition, one side leads their steps to victory while the other embraces their defeat but that too gracefully because they develop a will power and resilience to improve themselves the next time they participate. PARAKRAM, an annual fest that is being celebrated in Jaypee University of Information and Technology, Waknaghat is allowing many students of different colleges to take part and to witness the true spirit of sportsmanship.
A total of 6 sports are being covered and events are being held which are not just fun for those who participated but also for those who are present to spectate and cheer their respective teams.
The events include Chess, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Football, Badminton and Basketball between a total of 5 universities which are Manipal university, Jaipur, Baddi University, IIT Ropar, JUIT (A/B) and Chitkara university, HP. The sport events are for both boys and girls of all the universities.
The first day was filled with highs and lows for all the participants and even the spectators, everyone did their best and no matter what was the outcome of the match everyone stood with their head held high with pride of being on the field of their loved sport, that is the true spirit of a sportsman. The event is organised by JUIT Youth Club with the able guidance and constant support of the faculty coordinators.
