Sixth SIAM Chapter of India Established in JUIT

JUIT, Waknaghat – On September 27 (Tuesday) the final approval for the establishment of the JUIT SIAM chapter was received and a new student chapter has been established effective immediately.
Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) is an international community with over 14,000 members and student chapters at CalTech, Harvard and other Ivy League Universities. It only has five existing student chapters in India at IISc Bangalore, DTU Delhi and now the Sixth chapter has finally been established at JUIT, Waknaghat.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma and Dean (A&R) Prof. Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta were elated by this news and congratulated the faculty and students team on this special achievement. The JUIT Student chapter has been established under the Founding Faculty Advisor Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Kumar Sehgal, Head of Department CSE & IT.
