State Govt. Committed to Ensuring Balanced Development of Tribal Areas of State – CM
1 min readShimla, Dec. 19 – The State Government was committed to ensuring balanced and all-round development of tribal, backward and hard areas of the State so that they could harp the benefits of various developmental and welfare schemes initiated by the State Government. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the delegation of Pangi-Bharmour, led by the MLA Bharmour Jia Lal Kapoor that called on the Chief Minister at his official residence ‘Oak Over’ today.
Chief Minister said that Pangi-Bharmour area was one of the remotest areas of the State and the Government was ensuring that it gets special consideration in matters of development. He said that the State Government would provide 1500 solar lights to the people of the area and would also take necessary steps to solve the power problem of the area.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Government would also ensure an adequate supply of essential commodities to the people of the area so that they do not face any inconvenience during the month of winter. He said that adequate flights would also be ensured to not only provide essential commodities to the people but also lift people from the area in case of medical and other emergencies.
MLA Bharmour Jia Lal Kapoor urged the Chief Minister to take up the matter of construction of 5 MW Power plant in the area to solve the power problem of the area. He also apprised the Chief Minister regarding various demands of the area.
