NSP portal opens for scholarship schemes

Shimla, Aug 08 :  A Spokesperson of the Education Department informed here today that the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India has opened the National Scholarship Portal for annual year 2022-23 to implement the Post-Matric and Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Schemes for the minorities. He said that the students can apply under these schemes on  www.scholarships.gov.in or through the link available on www.minorityaffairs.gov.in or through Mobile App- National Scholarships (NSP.)

Under these schemes scholarships are being awarded to the economically weaker and meritorious students from the six centrally notified minorities viz Buddhist, Christian, Jain, Muslim, Sikh, and Zoroastrain (Parsis) pursuing studies in India in a Government or recognised private university, institute, college and school.

He said that the Central Government has decided to open the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for both fresh and renewal applications .He said that NSP has already been opened on 20th July, 2022 and 31st October, 2022 is the last date for submission of applications. Last date for INO level verification is 15th November,2022  and 30th November ,2022 for second level verification.
