Session on emotional intelligence for career growth organised at Shoolini Univ

The V-Empower team organised its 3rd learning series session on the topic of Emotional Intelligence for Career Growth, the learning series is an Initiative under the V-Empower Coaching project.
The Speaker for this session was Coach Mr. Adhir Mathur. He started his session by engaging the audience through different activities and taking them into the realm of emotional intelligence. He also spoke about how one can improve their emotional intelligence by using ten commandments like learning one’s triggers, exercising, having a smart goal, practicing mindfulness, seeking peer feedback, recognising emotions, empathy, and trusting one’s gut.
Mr. Mathur also stated that according to the World Economic Forum one of the essential skills required in 2020 and beyond is emotional intelligence. The four elements of emotional intelligence comprising Self Awareness, Social Awareness, Self -Management, and Relationship Management were discussed. The ability to handle frustrations and manage emotional and social skills can help an individual maintain a balanced life.
Mr. Adhir concluded the session by mentioning that the intelligence quotient is linked to technical skills and the emotional quotient reflects human skills. Both intelligence quotient and emotional quotient are inter-linked. However, emotional intelligence is becoming increasingly crucial in our rapidly advancing world.
