Shimla’s Ritu Sood Shines in South Debut “Mass Jathara”

Shimla, Nov 06 : Himachal Pradesh’s rising talent Ritu Sood has made a striking entry into South Indian cinema with the film “Mass Jathara”, starring popular actors Ravi Teja and Sreeleela. Her gripping portrayal of a bold and mysterious character—part of a powerful family plotting against law enforcement—has earned her strong praise from audiences and critics alike.
Viewers have applauded Ritu’s commanding screen presence, intense expressions and impactful performance, noting that she held her own among the industry’s established stars.
Directed by Bhanu Bhogavarupu and produced under Sitara Entertainments, the film features high-intensity action visuals crafted by renowned stunt master Venkat Naga. Major portions of the shoot took place in Hyderabad.
Before her South debut, Ritu was seen in “Do Patti” on Netflix and in “Bastar”, where she played notable roles. Her portrayal of ‘Maa Surasa’ in the TV show Shrimad Ramayan also earned her wide appreciation.
A proud Auckland House School alumna, Ritu pursued higher studies at St. Bede’s College and later completed her MBA from Delhi before entering the corporate world with major brands like Philips and Samsonite.
